Urania, together with the Antwerp Zoo, organises courses and shows at the Zoo Planetarium. The realistic representation of the night sky makes it possible to explain astronomical and cosmological facts clearly and concisely.

Evening visits: through Urania

Evening shows are only possible for groups and should be booked through Urania. A show costs 5.00 EUR per person. Program, contents and duration should be planned with the guide. Evening shows are possible in English, Dutch, French or German.

Public daytime shows: through the Zoo

During daytime, visits are only possible with a Zoo entrance ticket. There are special thematic shows during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays, with three shows a day.

Outside these periods, there are only shows on Wednesday, Sunday and sometimes Saturday. The times of the public shows are as follows:

• Christmas holidays:
  Daily at 2 pm, 2:45 pm and 3:30 pm.
• Between Christmas and Easter:
  On Wednesday and Sunday at 2 pm.
• Easter holidays:
  Daily at 2 pm, 2:45 pm and 3:30 pm.
• Between Easter and the Summer holidays:
  On Wednesday (2 pm), Saturday (2 pm and 2:30 pm) and Sunday (2 pm and 2:30 pm)
• Summer holidays:
  Daily at 2 pm, 2:45 pm and 3h30 pm.
• September:
  On Wednesday (2 pm), Saturday and Sunday (2 pm and 2:30 pm)
• October to December:
  On Wednesday and Sunday at 2 pm.

The public shows are exclusively in Dutch.

Daytime group visits: through the Zoo

Outside these hours a visit can always be arranged for groups or schools in your language of choice (Dutch, French, German or English). Each group can have an adapted show. Following subjects are possible:

• Movements of the earth (day-night, seasons)
• Origin and evolution of the universe
• Coordinate systems
• The life of the stars
• Light pollution
• Evolution of our perception of the world
• The old moon and the Sea
• The winter sky
• The summer sky

• Ulysses' voyage to the sun
• Night animals
• Under the Southern Cross
• Survey of the planets
