The bubbling galaxy : gaat niet door

The space between stars seems to be empty. But the opposite is true. Huge amount of neutral and ionized gas is spreading among the stars, sprinkled with dust particles, which are essential for the development of stars. This lecture talks about the cycle of interstellar matter, the formation of stars, and large gas bubbles that inflate around the hottest stars. Interestingly, these bubbles have direct impact on the star formation. The question is, do they help the stars to be formed or do they destroy the seeds of forming stars?
